Field Day
2018 JARC FIELD DAY SCHEDULE (subject to change)
FRIDAY 6/22/18:
3PM: Field Day Setup starts at Hagevig Fire Training Center on Sherwood Lane across from the
DMV/State Troopers Office. Need lots of help setting up canopy frames and small shelters for
outdoor events, antennas, tower trailer and generator, cabling and power connections, station setup
and clean classroom arrangements.
SATURDAY 6/23/18:
8AM—10AM: Final setup for Field Day continues. Still need help with final setup of canopy shelters
and booths. Bring used gear for swap meet, silent auction and picnic lunch.
Welcome/Information Booth and banners set up near Fire Training Center gate.
Radios are tested and logging procedures reviewed.
10AM: Field Day operations begin (continue to 10AM Sunday)
10AM-Noon: Educational Event? Last year there as a J-Pole antenna building class.
11AM-12PM: Picnic setup
12-2PM: Picnic and 50/50 drawing.
2PM: For sale & free equipment tables open. Presentations/instructions continue
3PM: FCC Examination Session begins
3PM: Picnic area cleaned
5PM: Silent Auction ends and buyers are announced
Field Day station continues to operate through the night
SUNDAY 6/24/18:
8AM—10AM: Field Day continues
Clean up starts
Canopy shelters are dismantled & banners stowed
10AM: Field Day ends. Antennas and station are dismantled and stowed.
11AM: Final cleanup of area
Club’s portable tower is returned to storage area
